- Do you provide expert witness testimony?
- Yes - on a case-by-case basis. We confirm availability, scope, and conflicts before accepting any matter requiring testimony.
- Are you truly independent?
- Yes. We do not perform repairs and we do not take referral fees from contractors. Our only product is the engineer's opinion.
- What kinds of matters do you handle?
- Storm and wind claims, vehicle and tree impact, foundation settlement disputes, construction defect litigation, alleged pre-existing damage, and water intrusion cause-of-loss.
- How fast can you produce a report?
- Typical forensic reports are delivered in 7-14 business days after the site visit. Truly urgent matters can sometimes be expedited - call to discuss.
- What is your service area?
- The full Triangle: Wake, Durham, Orange, Franklin, Johnston, Chatham, and Granville counties. NC-licensed PE firm (License #P-3406).
- How do your fees work?
- Investigation work is flat-fee or hourly depending on scope. Deposition and trial testimony are billed hourly with a retainer. We provide a written engagement letter before starting.
